HONORING OUR FALLEN DJS & ARTISTS

Before the battles, before the lights, before the crowd roars—there were DJs who laid the foundation. This page is dedicated to those we’ve lost along the way. Brothers. Sisters. Creators. Visionaries.

These are the DJs who gave life to the culture. They moved crowds, inspired generations, and helped shape the sound of Dallas and beyond. Their hands touched turntables, but their hearts touched people.

We remember them not only for their skills but for their passion, their hustle, and the unforgettable energy they brought to every set.

Each name listed here is more than a memory—it’s a beat that still echoes in the soul of our community.

Want to submit a tribute? 📧 Email us at info@crownthedj.com with your DJ’s name, a photo, and a short message.

Let’s keep their legacy alive. Let’s never forget the ones who made it possible for all of us to spin.

🕯️ Rest in beats.

Jorge B. Contreras aka DJ GEO

Passed: May 2025

This past May, we lost one of our family’s pillars.
Jorge B. Contreras wasn’t just a DJ, he was joy, warmth, and rhythm in human form.

He had a way of walking into a room and lighting it up, not for attention, but because his spirit carried that kind of energy. He was the one cracking those perfect one-liners, catching the right moment to make everyone laugh, and embracing you with hugs that said, “You matter.”

Jorge didn’t play music.
He shared it.
And he shared it with thousands, sometimes in a room, sometimes across airwaves, but always with heart. He wasn’t chasing fame. He was building a legacy. His love for music ran deep, and he gave everything he had to the craft. He’s still the best DJ I’ve ever heard.

For me, Jorge was more than family, he was my inspiration. I can still remember being a kid, excited just to hear his newest mix. He helped shape a lot of our love for music and never let up on pushing others to shine, too.

Jorge was devoted to his family, especially his daughter Camila, and he lived with humility, generosity, and unwavering love. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation, and he carried a sense of peace that made you feel safe in his presence.

My heart hurts.
But my spirit is grateful.

Jorge, thank you for showing me how to lead with passion, love harder, and leave it all on the table.

You walked into eternity with God saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Hug my mom for me. I’ll see you again on the other side, big bro.
And until then… keep the sound system warm.

With love and respect,

Eternal rest grant unto Jorge, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
