This isn’t a showcase. This is a showdown.

“Crown The DJ” was built for DJs who live for the craft, not clout. We’re talking crate diggers, scratch lords, vibe architects, and transition kings and queens who can control the crowd without ever touching a mic.

This is where we let the decks do the talking.

Whether you’re a vinyl veteran or a laptop ninja, this is your chance to claim a title that means something in the city.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES

1. FREESTYLE DIVISION (No Rules. Just Skill.)

Flex your creativity. This round is for DJs who treat the turntables like instruments. Expect heavy blends, unexpected flips, scratching, live remixing, mashups, and crowd-rocking energy. No sync buttons here. Bring technique. Bring passion. Bring noise.

2. MIXING DIVISION (Smooth. Smart. Storytelling.)

This battle is about control, energy, and vibe. DJs must showcase tight transitions, thoughtful music curation, BPM awareness, and musical storytelling. If you can keep the floor moving without missing a beat, this is your lane.

HOW IT GOES DOWN

  • 32 DJs total

    • 16 in Freestyle

    • 16 in Mixing

  • Single Elimination Brackets
    Randomly drawn. Win to move on.

  • 3-Minute Set Limit
    You get 180 seconds to blow minds or go home.

  • 5-Minute Transition Breaks
    Enough to breathe, reset, and crown a winner.

  • $25 Entry Fee
    Paid at registration. Lock in early.

  • Impartial Judging Panel (3–5 DJs & Industry Pros)
    Judged on creativity, crowd control, technical ability, and overall performance.

  • NO Redos. NO Restarts. NO Excuses.
